SCBWA to hold monthly luncheon
The Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association will host its monthly luncheon on Sept. 20 at noon at the Blue Giraffe 2 at Beachview Estates, 1100 Par View Drive, Sanibel.
The guest speaker will be Rachel Tritaik, owner and manager of the Island Therapy Center. She will share from her personal experience of being a physical therapist, giving tips and tricks to minimize the negative effects of gravity and her top five exercises for life.
“I’ve been a physical therapist for over 25 years, learning new techniques and skills throughout my career, and I love it,” Tritaik said.
A Sanibel resident since 2008, she opened her business in 2009. Tritaik grew up in England and Canada, and she graduated with a physical therapy degree from the Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Tritaik furthered her continuing education in the United States. Her specializations include orthopedics, neurology, inner ear disorders, hand therapy, osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, balance and lymphedema treatment. Training in hands-on techniques in Canada and the United States, she is also a certified massage therapist.
The SCBWA’s theme this year is health and wellness.
“We are excited to hear from Rachel and the knowledge she can bring to our group on our continued theme of health and wellness,” Communications Chair Maureen McGauran said.
