FDOH Lee to administer Tdap immunizations
The Florida Department of Health in Lee County reminds parents of kindergartners, 7th graders, out-of-state, transfer, and college students to make sure their children’s immunizations are up to date before the start of the new school year. All students are required to receive the Tdap booster before entering 7th grade. Children may receive the booster as early as age 11. Vaccines are free for children through age 18. The FDOH Lee will administer Tdap immunizations today, May 25, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Caloosa Middle School, at 610 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, on a first come, first served basis. It is also accepting appointments Monday through Friday for all back-to-school immunizations at its office at 3920 Michigan Ave., Fort Myers. Appointments can be made by calling 239-461-6100. Additional information on school required immunizations can be found at lee.floridahealth.gov.
