SanCap Cares hosted its 22nd Annual SanCap Cares Island Celebration on April 3 at The Sanctuary Golf Club on Sanibel, raising nearly $800,000 to support pediatric services at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. The focus was “All About the Brain” as the hospital continues to work to strengthen its pediatric mental health services and embarks on a new neurosurgery program and formation of a research and education partnership. The event included a cocktail hour with food and wine pairings, a Give to Give silent auction which featured displays of needed hospital equipment, plated dinner, presentation by hospital leadership, and live entertainment by The Modern Gentlemen. The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company served as presenting sponsor. Started by a group of mothers in 2001, SanCap Cares has raised more than $18 million for the Golisano Children’s Hospital.
