The Sanibel Fire and Rescue District reported that crews responded to a possible fire in the AC system of George & Wendy’s Seafood Grille, at 2499 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, over the weekend. Upon investigating, smoke and flames were discovered in the duct work. Officials reported that water was used to quickly knock down the flames and completely extinguish the area that was burning. No injuries were reported.
