Shell museum announces annual gala, presenting sponsor

The Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum will host its annual gala, Live from Sanibel, on Feb. 12 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel.
The evening will feature dinner and wine and the opportunity to bid on live and silent auctions, along with a performance by comedian, actor and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Kevin Nealon.
For the 18th year, The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is the presenting sponsor.
“We are proud to sponsor the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum’s ongoing educational platforms, as well as its newly-developed adult education classes, online and in-person lecture series, and innovative art and photography exhibitions,” founder and Chairman Al Hanser said. “The museum provides an excellent way for residents and visitors to become better acquainted with our beautiful islands, as well as appreciate the museum’s exceptional collections and aquariums.”
“The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company continues to be an incredibly generous and important supporter of the museum,” Executive Directo Sam Ankerson said. “Their invaluable ongoing support enables the museum to expand its reach throughout our community.”
