SANIBEL SEA SCHOOL Sea creature ornaments.

The Sanibel Sea School is offering After School Ocean Art courses every Tuesday.

Designed for ages 6 to 13, the goal of ocean art is to get creative with natural or repurposed materials found around the island. The courses will run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and cost $20 per participant.

The lineup includes:

– NOV. 16: MOLLUSK MAGNETS

Participants will head out to the sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico to collect empty shells that inspire them to create custom magnets.

– NOV. 30: OCEAN INSPIRED ORNAMENTS

Participants will make small sea creatures from natural materials to hang on their tree or at home.

– DEC. 7: JINGLE SHELL WREATHS

Participants will experiment with jingle shells to create a scale-like effect, rose petal pattern and mosaic to create a decorative wreath.
