Fee-free day, holiday closures at refuge

In observance of Veterans Day, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge will waive entrance fees to Wildlife Drive on Nov. 11 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are all free. In addition, the refuge offices and Visitor & Education Center will be closed on Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Wildlife Drive and its trails, Bailey Tract and Tarpon Bay Explorers will remain open during regular hours.
