Captiva library, county system providing programs

The Captiva Memorial Library, at 11560 Chapin Lane, Captiva, is offering the following free programming:
CHILDREN PROGRAMS
– Nov. 3-6: Happy Harvest Time!
(daily during operating hours)
Browse the books available to check out on the happy harvest book display and complete activity sheets. Make a fun paper bag scarecrow. Craft available as supplies last.
– Nov. 9-10: Native American Heritage
(daily during operating hours)
Check out the Native American Heritage book display and complete activity sheets. Make a Popsicle stick teepee. Craft available while supplies last.
The library is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about a program or to register, call the library at 239-533-4890.

ADULT PROGRAMS
– Nov. 3: Online English Cafe at 6 p.m.
The session provides adult learners an opportunity to practice speaking English with native speakers. Topics include everyday situations, current events and cultural areas. Presented by the School District of Lee County’s Adult & Career Education Program. Advance registration required before today, Nov. 3, at 6 p.m.
BIRTH TO PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
– Nov. 3: Online Storytime Anytime!
Enjoy storytime at home or on the go with Storytime Anytime! This is a condensed version of the in-person storytimes and includes a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and caregiver tips designed to promote and reinforce early literacy and language development.
