Author meet-and-greet, book signing planned
The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and MacIntosh Books and Paper will host Anne McCrary Sullivan and Holly Gentzen, authors of “The Everglades: Stories of Grit and Spirit from the Mangrove Wilderness,” on Nov. 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. They will share stories from their new book, which tells 21 stories from people who have ventured into that wilderness — for scientific and artistic work, search-and-rescue missions, personal renewal and adventure. Books will be available for purchase and signing, with half of the proceeds to benefit the SCCF.
