Let’s Pink Out recently launched its 10th season of island activities and fundraisers.

“Let’s Pink Out kicked off 2021 with the first annual Pink Flamingo High Tea, spearheaded by the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association,” Mary Bondurant, organization board member and founder, said. “Let’s Pink Out will field a series of events this October, with all donations benefitting uninsured individuals needing mammograms and cancer related needs in the community.”

The “Dink for Pink” pickleball tournament — new this year — includes ladies and men’s doubles on Oct. 8 and mixed doubles on Oct. 9. The new “Pink-A-Ball” dinner dance will be held on Oct. 9.

“It’s going to be so much fun, including dancing to the popular Renata Band and a live auction,” organization President Ann Neubauer said. “And all for a great cause.”

“We strive to innovate every year,” Bondurant added, “but everyone’s favorite is the ‘Pink Out Picnic at the Fire Station,’ celebrating its 10th anniversary on Oct. 28. This year we’re offering a drive-thru lunch provided by Cips Place, as well as a sit-down option. Cancer survivors are free; friends and family are welcome to make donations for lunch.”

It will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the choice of a chicken wrap or tuna wrap.
