FWC seeks public input on redfish management

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission wants the public’s input on updating the management approach and rule proposals for the redfish fishery. It is hosting several in-person and one virtual public workshop on the subject. The following workshops are the closest, plus the virtual:

– Today, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m.: Collier County Facilities Management, Training Room, at 3335 Tamiami Trail E., Naples

– Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.: Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners, Commission Chambers, at 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte

– Oct. 19 at 6 p.m.: Webinar — More information about how to participate will be available at MyFWC.com/fishing/saltwater/rulemaking/workshops prior to the webinar date. Participants may also contact the Division of Marine Fisheries Management at 850-487-0554 for more information.
