Edison, Ford estates to offer silk scarf painting class

Class at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates teaches how to make a painted silk scarf.
The Edison and Ford Winter Estates will host a silk scarf painting class on Oct. 23 at 10 a.m. outdoors in the river pavilion. Local artist Marie Dyer will teach the class. Participants will paint a 14-by-72-inch scarf that can be worn or hung as a piece of artwork. To ensure adequate supplies, registration is required at least 24 hours in advance. Masks are recommended, but not required. The cost is $90 for members and $100 for non-members: $100; all materials are included. Register at edisonford.org or call 239-334-7419.
