City accepting aquatic instructor proposals for rec center
The city of Sanibel announced that it is taking aquatic instructor proposals for fiscal year 2022 for classes to be held at the Sanibel Recreation Center, at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel.
Instructors must be able to offer high-quality classes in one or more of the following: deepwater aerobics, aqua jog, shallow water aerobics and Yogalates H2O. They must be able to meet the various needs and fitness levels of facility users. Instructors also must submit to and pass a criminal background check.
Proposals must contain the following information:
– Copy of current group fitness certification(s) and/or specialty training certification(s)
– Copy of current AED/CPR/First Aid Certification
– Copy of current liability insurance
– A minimum of three references
– College degree earned in a health/fitness related field or equivalent work experience in the field
– Proposed aquatic classes qualified and available to instruct for the city (include class type(s) and description, days of the week and times)
Proposals are requested no later than Oct. 22.
