Animal services celebrates Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

Lee County Domestic Animal Services announced that it will celebrate “Adopt a Shelter Dog Month” in October, along with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and adopters.

Adoption fees will be reduced on all dogs 4 months and older to $30, and cats and kittens will be $10 with an approved application. Valued at $600, the adoption package includes spay or neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, county license and a 10-day health guarantee.

The adoption center is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
