Training run honors 9/11 fallen responders

Earlier this month, the Sanibel Spoonbills Run Crew and members of the Sanibel Fire and Rescue District held a special F.I.S.H. 10K training run in honor of 9/11 fallen responders. Participants were Greg Kerns, Joe Nygaard, Jodi Lucker, Tim Barrett, Nicole McHale and Roger Timm. Started by Eva Vertes in 2018 and co-lead by Timm, the Spoonbills crew consists of 12 members who train and run together at various events. The members are also instrumental in the planning and coordination of the annual 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H., as well as run in the race themselves.
