Sanibel Island Fishing Club to meet

The Sanibel Island Fishing Club will hold its first meeting of the year on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, with a half-hour social to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will go over the club’s upcoming season and include topics such as fishing outings, the Christmas Party, Fish Fries and guest speakers. Attendees will also discuss their summer catches.
The meeting is free and open to the public; masks are required within the facility.
Refreshments will be available for a nominal charge.
