Retiring city manager to be honored

An event is being planned by the Sanibel community to honor retiring City Manager Judie Zimomra and thank her for her long years of service. Titled “Thank You, Judie!”, it will be an “open house” on Dec. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel. Light refreshments will be served, and a formal program will be presented. All are welcome. The event is being organized by a committee representing island businesses, service groups, non-profit organizations and private citizens. Zimomra will retire from the city on Sept. 29 with 20 years of dedicated service to the Sanibel community.
