Color-blind testers react to new refuge scope

REFUGE/DDWS A group of color-blind testers recently react to seeing colors at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge in a new light.

On Aug. 4, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel unveiled its new spotting scope engineered with special EnChroma lenses that enhance vision for color-blind people. The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge reported that the refuge will eventually be able to make loaner pairs of EnChroma sunglasses available for color-blind visitors to check out.
