TBE staff nominated for county’s VCB E Awards

Tarpon Bay Explorers’ exceptional customer service was recently recognized and reflected by having 11 employees nominated for the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau’s E Awards.
“The past year and a half have been quite challenging to say the least,” part-owner and General Manager Wendy Schnapp said. “Our staff has experienced a lot of adversity: an extended closure in 2020, soft reopening, half capacities, COVID restrictions; none of which made operations easy, but I am proud of our staff continuing to provide a high level of customer service.”
E Award nominations are given when a visitor feels someone went above and beyond their expectations to provide a bolstered rewarding experience as a result of that person’s outstanding customer service.
“We also take pride in the fact that our company continuously receives these awards and is a reflection of our values as a company,” she said.
TBE is the recreation concession to the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, providing recreational activities and educational opportunities. The company operates in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and 12 percent of all sales benefit refuges around the country.
