County library system providing virtual programs

The Lee County Library System, which includes the Captiva Memorial Library, is offering the following free virtual programming for all ages:
ADULT PROGRAMS
– Sept. 27: Understanding Financial Statements at 2 p.m.
Get a hands on understanding of just how financial statements work. Walk away with some practical tools to help you understand how to financially manage your company. During the workshop, attendees will learn the basics about profit and loss, balance sheets, forecasting, and cash flows. Part of the Small Business Series and hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University. Advance registration required.
– Sept. 29: Virtual Book Discussion for Adults at 10 a.m.
Calling all readers! A live virtual book discussion for adults. There is no assigned title. Instead, participants take turns sharing about the latest books that they have read. Advance registration required before Sept. 29 at 10 a.m.
BIRTH TO PRESCHOOL
– Sept. 1: Storytime Anytime!
Enjoy storytime at home or on the go with Storytime Anytime! This is a condensed version of the in-person storytimes and includes a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and caregiver tips designed to promote and reinforce early literacy and language development.

The Captiva Memorial Library is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It offers curbside hold pick up on Tuesday through Saturday.
The library will be closed on Sept. 6 in recognition of Labor Day.
