Play golf and help Keep Lee County Beautiful

Back for its 30th year to raise funds for Keep Lee County Beautiful, the “GO GREEN” Golf Tournament will be held on Oct. 15 at The Plantation Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
KLCB has hosted the fundraiser since 1991, with the exception of 2020 when the event was canceled due to the pandemic. This year’s tournament will have comprehensive safety measures in place to protect the health and well-being of employees and golfers. The day will be filled with golf, fun-filled course contests, food and a chance to win some auction items, while raising funds to support programs and events focused on protecting the environment and improving the quality of life in Lee County.
KLCB is the largest environmental education organization providing community cleanups, beautification projects and environmental education programming. In 2020, it hosted more than 200 litter removal events and three beautification projects engaging almost 2,000 volunteers. Volunteers spent 5,209 hours removing in excess of five tons of litter and debris and planted 160 new trees.
The cost is $500 per foursome or $125 per golfer. All proceeds will stay in Lee County and support KLCB’s mission of preserving and protecting the environment through waste reduction efforts, education outreach activities, and beautification projects in the local communities.
Nextran Truck Centers is again the title sponsor for the event.
