CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce representatives welcomed the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association to the organization with a ribbon cutting.

On July 21, the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce celebrated the formation last fall of the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association with a ribbon cutting at the Blue Giraffe 2 on Sanibel. SCBWA President Taylor Osborne stated, “As a local organization focused on mentoring, networking and supporting continuing education, I feel it is important to join the chamber of commerce. Many of our members are small business owners who live and work in our community, making becoming a member of the chamber of commerce a natural step for our organization.” With a membership of 26, the SCBWA holds hybrid meetings on the third Tuesday of the month at the Sundial Resort and via Zoom. It is currently conducting a Women in Leadership Speaker series. On the third Wednesday, it hosts Tips & Sips — an in-person networking event at various locations on-island.
