SCBWA TO HOLD NETWORKING EVENT

The Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association will host Tips & Sips on July 21 at 6 p.m. at Blue Giraffe 2 at Beachview Estates, 1100 Par View Drive, Sanibel.

Taylor Osborne Cleary, co-owner of Iris Print & Designs, will share tips on self-care and wellness.

In addition, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce for the SCBWA, which was founded last year.

Light appetizers will be provided, with a cash bar available.

BOTI ANNOUNCES TWO PROMOTIONS

Bank of the Islands recently announced that Susan Schulte has been promoted to assistant office manager and Heather Harrison has been promoted to lead teller.

Schulte will join the management team in overseeing the operations of the Sanibel and Captiva offices. The execution of her new duties will continue to hold superior customer service as a top priority.

Harrison will not only continue serving as a front-line teller, but she will assume additional responsibilities assisting with and overseeing teller operations at the Sanibel office. Harrison will also continue to facilitate the bank’s teller training program.

SAN CAP COMMUNITY BANK PROMOTES MARSH

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has promoted Laura Ann Marsh to human resources assistant at its operations center in Fort Myers.

She joined the bank in April as a customer service representative and teller at the McGregor branch. Marsh is responsible for preparing payroll transactions, maintaining human resource records and assisting in employee benefits administration.

She has 25 years of executive administration experience working for several Southwest Florida businesses, including the Sanibel Community Church. Marsh has also served as a substitute teacher for Lee County Schools since 1996.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Trent University and a degree in education from University of Western Ontario. Marsh also has a qualifying master’s degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
