CFI WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBER
The Charitable Foundation of the Islands announced the appointment of John Morse to the board.
A year-round Sanibel resident since 2005, he is a retired corporate attorney with 10 years of private practice in Kansas and 35 years as senior vice president, general counsel and a partner for LodgeWorks Partners. Upon his retirement, Morse was named senior vice president and general counsel emeritus.
He graduated from Wichita State University in 1972 and received his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1975. Having served as board chair of the university’s foundation and on its board of directors, Morse continues to serve on its national advisory council.
He serves on the board of directors for F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva and its foundation, the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club and the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s Finance Committee. A life member of SCCF, Morse served on its board of trustees and was a sea turtle volunteer for 12 years.
He recently retired from volunteering as secretary and general counsel for USA Swimming Inc.
SAN CAP COMMUNITY BANK HIRES KELLY
Addisyn Kelly recently joined Sanibel Captiva Community Bank as a loan servicing assistant in the loan operations division at the Bridge Branch in Fort Myers.
She is responsible for processing loan payoffs, preparing loan verification requests, managing loan payoff quotes and assisting in document management.
Kelly has prior experience in retail sales and is currently pursuing an associate degree in radiology at Florida SouthWestern State College.
