Kiwanis Club provides grant to youth programs

Sanibel Mayor Holly Smith and Recreation Director Trish Phillips recently accepted a $3,624 grant check from the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club for the city’s Summer Youth Recreation Programs. The funds will enhance the summer camp with weekly field trips at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge and on the water with Tarpon Bay Explorers and $600 for the meals on the last two days of camp — meals not covered by the Summer Lunch Program.
