ADULT PROGRAMS

Advance registration required.
– July 6: Land, Licenses, Love Gone Wrong, and Other Assorted Court Records at 10 a.m.
Lecture explores the vast array of informational resources available in courthouse records and how they can impact genealogical research. Presenter is Ann Staley, with the Florida State Genealogy Society and the Association of Professional Genealogists. Advance registration required.
CHILDREN PROGRAMS
– June 30: Meet the Author
Kate Messner is passionately curious and writes books for kids who wonder, too. Her titles include award-winning picture books like “Over and Under the Pond,” “Up in the Garden” and “Down in the Dirt,” “The Brilliant Deep” and “How to Read a Story.” During the interview, we’ll talk about two books in Messner’s Over and Under series.
– July 1: Coffee Filter Fish
With some water-based markers and a little H2O, coffee filters are transformed into colorful fish.
– July 2: Meet Yasu Ishida
Yasu Ishida is an award-winning performer who combines traditional Japanese theatre, music, origami, magic and storytelling into one-of-a-kind performances. Ishida will share an excerpt of his show and teach children how make origami water creatures.
– July 5: Such a Library!
A live action-animated show about a wacky librarian, a magic book and, of course, lots of animals. Based on the book “Such a Library!” by Jill Ross Nadler, also known as Page Turner.
– July 6: Pet Pop-Up Books
With an old file folder and a pair of scissors, children can create their own magical pop-up books. Grab and Go Activity Kits with supplies for the craft are available at all library locations beginning on July 3, while supplies last.
BIRTH TO PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
– June 30: Storytime Anytime!
Enjoy storytime at home or on the go with Storytime Anytime! This is a condensed version of the in-person storytimes and includes a variety of songs, stories, rhymes and caregiver tips designed to promote and reinforce early literacy and language development.
