Off-Island Summer Programs

The Alliance for the Arts, at 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, still has openings for:
SUMMER ARTS CAMP
Fill your child’s summer with an exhilarating array of activities like art, theatre, photography and movement. Do not miss out on the unique opportunity to experience, explore and engage with both visual and performing arts. Children will love creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces, playing improv games, exploring the galleries and more — all taught and led by a team of experienced artists and educators. Open to grades 1-7. For more information or to register, visit https://www.artinlee.org/explore/camps/.
– Session 2 (July 6-16): Ticket to the Renaissance (performing arts focus available only)
MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE CAMP
Step on stage and shine with the excitement and magic of live musical theatre. The week-long camp is taught and led by Broadway Palm Director and Choreographer Amy McCleary, local performer Kiersten Benzing and features special guests — actors and actresses straight from the Broadway Palm stage. Each session offers specialized courses in auditioning, vocal techniques, improv, scene study and dance. The week culminates with a performance at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre facilities. Open to grades 7-12. Held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. For more information or to register, visit https://www.artinlee.org/explore/camps/.
– Session 1 (July 5-9): Jukebox Heroes
– Session 2 (July 12-16): Grease is the Word Part One
– Session 3 (July 19-23): Grease is the Word Part Two
– Session 4 (July 26-30): Season Pass
MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP FOR ACTORS WITH AUTISM
Our final week of camp is dedicated to young artists and actors with autism spectrum disorder. Campers will work with Broadway Palm Director and Choreographer Amy McCleary with assistance from the Family Initiative. Campers will work on all aspects of musical theatre — exploring music, dance and acting. Make new friends, laugh a lot and enjoy the excitement of musical theatre. This week will be based on connection, collaboration and letting every camper find their own way to shine. Open to ages 9-25. For more information or to register, https://www.artinlee.org/event/asdtheatrecamp/2021-08-02/.
– Aug. 2-6
