On April 12-15, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Wildlife on Wheels urban mobile classroom visited Lehigh Senior High School — its first high school visit. The Education Team created new lab stations and curriculum to target the age group, including live experiments. Using Florida state standards, the experiments made it more engaging for student learning. Environmental science teacher Julie Ross reported, “Let me please emphasize that it was truly amazing and on target for learning goals and outcomes at the high school level.” To donate to the project, visit https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=E54182&id=12.
