The Sanibel School Fund reported that the annual Blue Ribbon Golf Classic, held on May 15 at The Sanctuary Golf Club, was a huge success as organizers surpassed their goal of raising $125,000.

For the tourney, the A Flight winner was the Biltgen Team, made up of Gary Biltgen, Eric Biltgen, John McCabe and Dan Kennedy. The B Flight winner was the Murray Team, made up of Matt Fannon, Jim Loundes, Taylor Trinkle and John Guinee. In addition, the winner of the Everglades python hunt was Kim Kouril.

The Sanibel School Fund expressed its appreciation to The Sanctuary Golf Club, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille and MudBugs Cajun Kitchen for hosting the weekend activities, as well as all the sponsors.

Organizers noted that there is still a way to help support The Sanibel School. An exclusive, special edition Sanibel Seahorse visor from this year’s event is available for $20, with all of the proceeds going toward the Sanibel School Fund.
