LCEC to perform pole replacement on Periwinkle

Today, the city of Sanibel reported that it received the following information from the Lee County Electric Cooperative in reference to the replacement of a utility pole at 1446 Periwinkle Way:

“We have a critical LCEC pole with major woodpecker damage that needs changed out ASAP prior to failure (outage). In efforts to avoid traffic issues, we are going to schedule our crews to work this at 9 p.m. tonight, April 23. We will have MOT on site for safety, in addition we do not expect any loss of power as a result of this proactive maintenance work.”
