Recently, the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge biology staff assisted the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, city of Sanibel and Avian Research and Conservation Institute in Gainesville with swallow-tailed kite surveys at the refuge’s latest acquisition — the 68-acre Lee Anne Tauck Conservation Tract.
