Offshore Sailing School holding getaway contest

With a location at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva, the Offshore Sailing School is hosting the Great Sailing Getaway Contest for a one-week vacation, while learning to sail or bareboat charter.
The grand prize is tuition for up to four students — minimum age 7 with adult — for five, half-day Learn to Sail Course or the five-day, Bareboat Charter Cruising Course at South Seas, along with a six-day five-night stay in a two-bedroom Tennis Villa accommodation. No purchase necessary to enter.
“The past 12 months have been very challenging, filled with anxiety, grief and socializing obstacles, but we’ve seen goodness and kindness too,” founders Steve and Doris Colgate reported. “We want to shine a light on a deserving individual or family for what they have endured and overcome. We want people to share the journey they have been on since March 2020.”
Essay/story judging will occur in early May, with a winner selected by May 14. Judging for the contest will be based primarily on those overcoming adversity and challenges during the previous 12 months.
Those interested can enter themselves or nominate someone to win the grand prize.
The winner will be notified by phone and a certified letter and will be required to sign and return an affidavit within 10 days of notification, or the prize will be awarded to runner-up, and so on.
