CECI beach cleanup fundraiser to feature treats, prizes
The Easter Bunny will be on his way to Sanibel soon, and the Children’s Education Center of the Islands is seeking the public’s help with cleaning the beach to ready for his springtime arrival.
The CECI is inviting the community to help raise money to support the center’s mission of providing affordable, nature-based preschool education and care to the next generation of island stewards.
Participants’ hard work will be rewarded with Easter treats, prizes for top performers and a photo opportunity with a fluffy special guest. It will be socially-distanced day of collective giveback. While participants may assist in the clean up at no cost, the CECI is providing three avenues of support:
– Buy tickets to the event. Each ticket includes one set of cleanup supplies, one Easter egg reward and one Easter Bunny photo.
– Pledge support to one of the CECI’s students and their classroom team. Reward them for all of the clean up they will do on your behalf. Visit the event Website and click on the purple button, credit one of the classes or children, and donate.
– Make a general donation in recognition of the event and students.
Ticketed participants will have the opportunity to win prizes. Families, groups and teams are challenged to demonstrate their spirit to help bring energy to the day. CECI gear and Easter/spring-themed attire are encouraged, along with coordinated group attire or the Easter/spring outfits.
Masks and distancing will be required on the CECI property.
