UPDATE: Boil water notice lifted for Sanibel

UPDATE:

The Island Water Association has lifted the boil water notice for all of Mahogany Way and the 2340 block of Periwinkle Way on Sanibel.

UPDATE (March 18, 2021):

IWA has provided the following additional information for the affected areas:

“Due to construction on the water main serving your location, as a precaution, we must advise that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. This notice will remain in effect through March 19 at 4 p.m., when bacteriological testing is expected to show that your water continues to be safe. If you have any questions, please contact our business office at 239-472-1502. Call 239-472-2113 Ext. 6 after date and time noted for confirmation that the boil water notice has been listed or visit our Website at www.islandwater.com.”

ORIGINAL (March 17, 2021):

The Island Water Association reported that there is a boil water notice in effect for parts of Sanibel. The notice starts today, with an anticipated end date of March 19 at 4 p.m. The affected areas include all of Mahogany Way and the 2340 block of Periwinkle Way.
