Reported number of COVID-19 cases increases on Sanibel
Lee County has recorded 31,571 total cases of COVID-19 — 30,842 residents and 729 non-residents — including 94 cases between Sanibel and Captiva, according to the Florida Department of Health.
As of today’s update, the DOH reported that it has recorded a total of 1,039,207 cases in Florida. The figure consists of 1,022,354 residents who tested positive, along with 16,853 non-residents.
There has been 18,994 deaths among Florida residents — 1.9 percent of the total cases.
There has been 594 deaths among residents in Lee — 1.9 percent of the total cases.
