Moved to Dec. 1 because of COVID-19 and the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s 75th anniversary, this year’s “Ding” Darling Day brought the opportunity for free outdoor activities on a brisk early winter day. The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge reported that along with classes from next door’s The Sanibel School, visitors of all ages came out to enjoy a beautiful day for being outdoors and celebrating nature and 75 years.
