Painting with Friends will take place on Nov. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Artists of all levels of expertise are welcome, as long as they bring their own supplies and are able to paint independently. Impasto Oil Painting will be held on Dec. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to noon with Suzette. The subject will be a 8-by-8 apple. Participants will take home a finished work of art. Open to ages 12 and older. Cost is $45 for members and $55 for non-members.

Ariel Hoover, chair of the Lee County Climate Reality Project, will present “Climate Change: Threat to Wildlife and Its Habitats” on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. A former public school teacher at Tufts University in a special program for Chinese students, she was trained by the Climate Reality Project on the many aspects of climate change and is part of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps.
Holiday Craft Bazaar
Holiday Craft Bazaar will be held on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Purchase holiday gifts, including jewelry, sea glass, hand-knitted items, pottery, handmade jams, local honey and more.
Culinary Social

For a $5 donation, the desserts will include sticky toffee pudding and an ice cream sundae bar with caramel and chocolate sauces. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door, if seats are available.
Annual Thanksgiving Celebration
The Annual Thanksgiving Celebration will take place on Nov. 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Open to the public, it will feature a non-denominational service, musical performances and more. Canned goods will be collected to benefit F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva.

In particular, the SCA is looking for people with food and beverage experience who can work in the kitchen once or twice a month and those who can work and water in the garden.
