Caloosahatchee Oxbow Cruise
The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation will host a Caloosahatchee Oxbow Cruise from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The guided trip provides an opportunity to gain a perspective on the river, its history, folklore, issues and solutions as participants explore the historic upriver Caloosahatchee. Follow it back to a time when a waterfall served as the headwaters of the Caloosahatchee and settlers braved living amongst the wilderness. The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge will hold its sixth annual Holiday Shopping Night from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Refuge Nature Store at the Visitor & Education Center, at 1 Wildlife Drive, Sanibel. The 2020 Luc Century ornament will officially go on sale, and the store has stocked other holiday items for the event.
