Sneak preview of refuge’s 2020 lecture series

Running Jan. 17 to April 3, the 16th annual “Ding” Darling Friday Lecture Series will features a lineup of authors and experts in the world of birds, nature photography and conservation.
One highlight of the season brings world-renowned nature photographer Clyde Butcher – whose Everglades exhibition kicks off November’s 75th anniversary events from Nov. 13 through Feb. 5 – to the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, sponsored by Mark and Gretchen Banks.
Two other lectures will align with refuge’s anniversary events. To celebrate Bee Week at the end of January, “honey sommelier” C. Marina Marchese will talk about her books on beekeeping.
As a follow-up to the Project Refuge: A Couture Fashion Show Using Trash on March 10, nationally recognized upcycle designer Nancy Judd will speak about her work creating recycled fashions as a means of conservation education.
