Club to host Bunche Beach Preserve paddle

The Ocean Tribe Paddling Club hosts excursions for paddling enthusiasts to enjoy a group paddle, share tips and ideas, and meet new friends to paddle with.
The next one will be held on Aug. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.
It will be an evening paddling excursion at the Bunche Beach Preserve, which is a quick drive from the islands and covers more than 700 acres, facing southwest toward Sanibel and the Gulf of Mexico. Participants will paddle along the shoreline as they watch the sun slowly fall behind Sanibel.
Those interested in taking part can bring their own paddling craft or reserve one of the limited number of loaner vessels in advance. To reserve a vessel, email oceantribepaddlers@sanibelseaschool.org.
The first event is free, then it is requested that a club membership be purchased.
Meet at 4:45 p.m. at the Bunche Beach kayak launch, at 18201 John Morris Road, Fort Myers.
Any weather related updates or schedule changes will be posted on the Ocean Tribe Outfitters Facebook page at least one hour prior to the event.
