SCORE Southwest Florida to learning opportunities
The U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE Association is marking National Small Business Week on May 5-11, and SCORE Southwest Florida is providing low-cost local learning opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs who are interested in starting a new business.
The featured workshops will include:
– May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. – So You Want to Start a Business
Is your dream to start your own business? SCORE mentor and entrepreneur Darius Joseph, president of Simplified Technologies, explains the basics that you need to know to start a business. He will provide invaluable resources for evaluating your business idea and bringing it to reality at Keiser University, at 9100 Forum Corporate Parkway, Fort Myers. Cost is $25 and pre-registration is required.
– May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. – Understanding Financial Statements for the Non-Financial Manager
Forty-year financial-industry veteran Jim Bolinger explains, in non-technical terms, how non-financial managers can understand, develop and analyze financial statements. Held at Keiser University, at 9100 Forum Corporate Parkway, Fort Myers, the workshop will be tailored to participants’ interests and questions. Cost is $25 and pre-registration is required.
