New F.I.S.H. executive director to speak at ABWA meeting

The Sanibel Captiva Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will host its monthly luncheon on May 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa.
The guest speaker is F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva Executive Director Alicia Tighe.
Four months into her role working with F.I.S.H., she built her career in public service in Florida and Washington, D.C., for U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson. Tighe’s background in constituent services includes hurricane response, addressing water quality issues and assisting veterans.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and a master’s in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. Tighe lives on Sanibel with her husband, Ryan Orgera, who recently joined the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation as chief executive officer.
The chapter meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, at 1451 Middle Gulf Drive, Sanibel. Networking starts at 11:30 a.m., with lunch and a speaker from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. The meetings are open to the public.
