Southern Comfort on Sanibel features ‘wild’ fun
Islanders went “wild” at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife’s Southern Comfort on Sanibel, held on April 12 at The Community House on Sanibel. The night began as guests experienced a wildlife encounter with CROW’s Animal Ambassadors: Mina, a great horned owl; Lola, an American kestrel; and Bashful, a Virginia opossum. Resident Chef Jarred Harris, of The Community House, created a “feeding frenzy” with his delicious offerings. Guests played games to win prizes, including a balloon raffle in which participants purchased a balloon they popped to reveal if they had won a prize. CROW wildlife release videos streamed throughout the night and guests “roared” to show their support of CROW’s mission during “Lots of Love,” a special part of the live auction.
