Island youth sell lemonade to help Sanibel Sea School
Grant, Caroline and Charles Muddell and Lydia Whalen recently held a lemonade stand to support the Sanibel Sea School.
After their parents attended Octifest on April 13, they learned about how many children in need are able to experience the ocean through the non-profit organization’s scholarship program, and they decided they wanted to help.
After a long day spent serving cold drinks to thirsty walkers and bikers, they delivered a check to co-founder and Executive Director Dr. Bruce Neill.
“What these kids did for Sanibel Sea School is truly amazing, and we are so grateful,” he said. “They worked hard to raise this money, and we are going to make sure it goes directly to getting more kids in the ocean this year.”
The Sanibel Sea School is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the ocean’s future, one person at a time. For more information, visit sanibelseaschool.org or call 239-472-8585.
