Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ and Bat Yam – Temple of the Islands will present “The History of Modern Israel” on April 10 and April 17 at 10 a.m. for a Theological Studies course.

The classes will take place in SCUCC’s Fellowship Hall.

Co-taught by the Rev. Dr. John H. Danner and Rabbi Dr. Stephen L. Fuchs, it will offer an overview of the events of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries; the religious scene in Israel; and the basics of Israeli government. While it will provide a helpful orientation for those traveling on the upcoming Bat Yam-SCUCC trip to Israel, they are open to all who would like to learn more and would like to attend.
