Sanibel Sea School to open registration for summer camps
Registration for the Sanibel Sea School’s summer camp programs will open on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
A variety of ocean camps are available for ages 4-18 at three locations, including the flagship campus on Sanibel’s east end, Sundial Beach Resort and Spa, and the Canterbury School in Fort Myers.
Each week has a different ocean theme, and the highlights include sharks, shells, and sea turtles for ages 6-13. The programs include ocean skills like surfing, snorkeling and net fishing, as well as games, activities and art. For ages 4-6, frigate bird-, octopus- and hermit crab-themed weeks will offer the chance to splash and learn while getting comfortable in the ocean.
Teens can participate as Counselors In Training, learning leadership skills in a fun setting, and the organization offers coral reef expeditions to the Florida Keys and Belize for older campers. Teen camps also include paddling, camping, fishing, survival skills and more.
Requests to receive camp-related emails can be sent to info@sanibelseaschool.org.
