LOGOS youth go up, up and away
The LOGOS children at Sanibel Community Church celebrated Flight Night and Crazy Hair Day on Jan. 30. Each child received a boarding pass and stood in a security line in order to board their “airplane,” destined for Paradise Falls, South America. Their in-flight movie was “Up.” The SCC flight attendants served the children turkey sandwiches, chips and juice. Fifth-grade passengers flew “first-class” and received soda as their beverage of choice with their dinner. For Crazy Hair Day, blues, bows and bee-hive styles were popular among the students. The youth challenged each other in a paper airplane contest. Each designed, folded and flew their airplane in hopes of winning the longest flight award, which is received at the year-end banquet. Open to pre-kindergarteners to fifth-graders, LOGOS meets on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the church, at 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
