Kiwanis Club reveals items up for grabs in raffle, auctions
A wide range of unusual merchandise and gift items are coming together for the raffle and live and silent auctions at the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club’s annual Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner.
This year’s bash will be held on Feb. 23 at The Community House on Sanibel.
The lineup of items includes: beautiful jewelry items, artwork and crystal, bicycles and sporting equipment, children’s toys, tools, electronics, clothing, and plenty of gift certificates for local resort and condo stays, restaurant and services. Plus, some one-of-a-kind items not available anywhere else.
Before the raffle and auctions begin, guests will be treated to an all-you-can-eat Italian feast, with pasta, meatballs, salad, garlic bread, wine and sodas, served by club members from 4 to 8 p.m.
Cost is $10 in advance or $11 at the door; children under 10 are free. Dessert and coffee are extra.
Tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member and also at Bailey’s General Store, Bank of the Islands, Big Red Q Printing, Island Pharmacy, Periwinkle Park and Sanibel-Captiva Community Bank.
Funds raised by the dinner are used by the Kiwanis Charitable Foundation to benefit island youth through scholarships and youth recreational programs. Over 26 groups and programs receive support.
Primary sponsors include: Lee Health Foundation, IL Cielo Restaurant, Bank of the Islands, Sanibel-Captiva Trust Company, Bailey’s General Store, Sanibel-Captiva Community Bank, The Bubble Room and Big Red Q Printing. In addition, other island businesses show their support by contributing food and prizes for the raffle and auctions.
