SCIAR names Demaras as Real Estate ‘Rookie of the Year’
The Sanibel Captiva Island Association of Realtors recently named Realtor Greg Demaras, with the Pfeifer Realty Group, the 2018 Real Estate Rookie of the Year.
The recipient must be a new member to the SCIAR, having joined within 18 months, and be inducted into the Honor Society. The award acknowledges an agent’s professionalism in addition to their participation in the association and the island community.
“I’m so proud of Greg’s accomplishments. His professionalism combined with his ‘can do’ positive attitude and willingness to help others makes for a winning combination,” Broker Eric Pfeifer said.
“Having been named Rookie of the Year in 2002 when I was a new Realtor, it is an honor that during the past five years, four agents from Pfeifer Realty Group have been named Real Estate Rookie of the Year,” he added.
A native of New York City, Demaras launched his real estate career in Manhattan in the commercial management, sales and leasing side of the industry. In 2001, he relocated to the shore region of New Jersey and expanded his skill set by becoming expert in all aspects of the residential home market.
Upon first visiting Sanibel and Captiva in 2007 it was immediately apparent to Demaras how special and unique this part of Florida remains. Becoming a Florida licensed Realtor has allowed him to immerse himself even further into the fabric of the Southwest Florida community.
