Shoes, socks for homeless veterans being accepted
Shoes and socks are being collected for homeless veterans for the second year on Sanibel.
The community is encouraged to drop off dress shoes, work boots or sneakers, along with socks, to help provide veterans with an opportunity to gain employment.
Donations are being accepted now to Dec. 23 at the following locations:
– Bailey’s General Store, at 2477 Periwinkle Way
– The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club, at 949 Sand Castle Road
– American Legion Post 123, at 4929 Sanibel-Captiva Road
– The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way
– Fire Station 171, at 2351 Palm Ridge Road
– Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road
– F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva, at 2430-B Periwinkle Way
